Opening Night ~ Thursday 19th April 2012
The Mayor of Sutton - Councillor Gerry Jerome - welcomed everyone, especially the guests from Gagny and Wilmersdorf, and formally opened the exhibition. Sally Weir - chairperson of the exhibition organising committee - responded, thanking all those who contributed their time and expertise, enabling the exhibition to take place and, of course, all of the quilt makers.

The opening was attended by 100 guests
I can say how I very much enjoyed viewing the quilts - it was great to see local quilters on show - an excellent exhibition - well done everyone!!!
